Back from vacation

April 21, 2011, 6:58 pm

Just got back from my fishing vacation and could not wait to see what was up with online poker in my absence. Fortunately I had withdrawn half my BR just before the crack down. I had no money on any of the affected sites but glad to get my money back anyway. I had planned on redepositing on another site but will buy a new laptop with it instead.

I am positive that the U.S. will be legalizing and regulating online in the future. A few states are already smarter than the feds and are in the process of intrastate online gaming. The feds are going to want to get the biggest share of revenue they can and will act.

I will play at a couple of the sites that I still have money on and which are still operating untill the dust settles, and some clearminded reasonable change in the state of online poker in the U.S. takes place.

  • Hey Johan! Yes we caught some fish. Mostly rainbow trout with a couple of German browns thrown in. Weather was nasty but we fished anyway. Glad to be back home but hate going back to work on Monday. From the looks of some of the forums which have mostly US players, lots of people are really pulling back from poker. Even the ones who do not play on the affected sites. It will be interesting to see how this plays out for us US players.

  • Actually I prefer online. I work in a casino and really enjoy the solitude of online play. No noise, smoke or drunks to put up with.:) Not that I have a problem with smoking or drinking. I just feel more relaxed playing at home.
