I've been playing zynga poker on Facebook for about 4 months now. I went to the Zynga convention last month in Vegas and met Doyle Brunson, got his autograph on my Howard Hughes visor and played in the tournament where I got knocked out on the 4th table.
The best part of the convention was having pro coaches at our table showing the best way to play.
I live in Washington state where it is felony to play online for real money so for now I'll stay away from online poker.
I did play at the limit 1/3 at the El Cortez where I stayed for the week. I did pretty good two days and pretty bad one saturday night I got beat with the set of kings by aces for the 3rd time in two weeks this time for real money pocket aces who would've thought?
I'm going to WSOP in July, friggin hot I know but I got a great deal, airfare and 10 nights for $246 I'm not making it up. Okay so it is Terribles but its a decent room and a bus ride straight to the Rio. I'll find some limit games at the Riv, thats where I'm at right now, the no limit is too scary for me, I'm on a budget.
I am concentrating on sit n go's on Zynga because it teaches me to hold back and wait and then be aggressive when the table is down to 4 or 5 plus I like getting my chips back and more and all I have to do is finish 3rd to do that. I see poker as being my retirement plan someday but I need to prep for it and study and be conservative until I have the right stuff sort of like playing amateur golf.
Back to the bedroom to read my Stuey Unger book, what a great story.
