Hey guys,
well it's about time I got a blog started dont you think? And what better time to do so. I've made the decision, that I'm going to attempt the transition from tournament poker to cash games.
I'm using holdem manager (At last! I've had it for about a year and found no real use in it!) and also my trusty friend table ninja to play up to 18 tables of small stakes 6 max to start.
I'm hoping to put in around 10k hands at .10/.25 and .25/.50 before moving on up. This isn't a case of bankroll management, but purely experience.
I began on saturday actually just playing 4 tables of .25/.50 with very good results. Over 478 hands I was up $226.85. My VP was 24% and PFR was 17%, to go with a 3b percentage of 4.3%.
Now I think I can look to maybe get that 3b% up a little more, but pretty happy with the VP and PFR.
Some solid pots I won inclued me with KcQx in a 3 way pot from the cutoff vs an UTG raise . The flop came 2cQc2x and checked around. I bet 2.25. The big blind raises to 6, original raiser folds and I call. The turn bought a seemingly blank 10h. He bets $12 into $16 and I'm really struggling to put him on a real hand here other than KQ for the split. I think I sometimes see AQ here but not too often as it seems a good spot to squeeze from the BB. The river was the 6c and my opponent ships 30 into 40. Again here, I think about him maybe playing a draw aggresively, but see it highly unlikely due to the paired board and his turn lead. I timebank and call to see my opponent show 88.
Anyway, gonna be updating this very regularly and who knows? Maybe even a video here or there.
Peace
Matt
