I want to share my experience on myself and me playing poker.

For about 6 years ago I played poker for some months. I started on about 1000$. I played my cash up to about 3000$ and I did that on the 100$ buyin NL 6-max. I did quit when I was down to 1000$ again and bought a new computer instead.

6 years ago my life was not stable, as I see it today. I wont go into any details but it was about relationsships, alcohol, work etc.

Today, I have played a little more than a year on microstakes. Started at 4$ buyin. Today I can focus and really have the discipline to really put myself into every decision at the tables. 6 years ago there were way too many things that did interupt all the focusing at the tables and when I red something strategical. I didnt know it then but I remember that I felt that I maybe someday will play poker again. I then did play becuase I wanted the money. Today I still do it for the eventually money BUT today I do it alot more because I like to play and to analyse.

Take care of yourself mentally. Dont have short term plans for your progress of beeing a good pokerplayer. Your happyness in life shall NOT come from your bankroll primary. Make sure u get satisfied emotionally from other things, it will make u play better! It will make u solid and u will better handle for example downswings.

If u care about yourself, investigate and change things in your life and your behaviour that might make u sad in the long run, u will have easier to focus on things u like and want. And above all. U will be happier in life!
