Re: Pushing Hands Preflop HU

Lets say you are playing a solid player like "Fundmyaudi", they usually raise 3x from the button, sometimes reraised you 4x out of position and usually fold when you are the one reraising their button raise 4x. So its very much preflop war for the most part. If they 4x your standard butto...

Re: Great Heads Up Video, Varience and BR

As my title said, great heads up video. This is one type of game I need to improve my play in. That being said please feel free to keep making more heads up videos in the future. What kind of bankroll do you suggest having when playing heads up? Obviously this type of game will have the most varian...

Re: River Play

If your opponent/s check on the river and you're in position do you generally always bet with nothing? I understand taking things into consideration like board texture and opponents image is important but even if those pieces of information were missing, to me checking the river seems like the ulti...

Re: What was your initial online poker career like ?

Hey Tim and Errol, Just curious what your initial online poker career was like ? I did listen to your podcast where you went over this briefly but I was wondering specifically: Aprox. how long did it take you to progress to each new level (e.i. 10N ...25NL...50NL ect.) ? Did you get "stuck&quo...

Re: Sit N Go's vs. Cash Games

Hi Mark, I learned the basic game of poker through Sit'n'gos, but after figuring out the optimal strategy to be a profitable SNG player, I realized that there still wasn't very much skill involved, and it very much became SNG Bingo (as you described). One can make money playing SNGs, but cash games ...

Re: Table Selection

Sounds like you have the right ideas Mark. Usually the best players to play against are ones who play a lot of pots, but don't raise much and are very passive. So high VPIP, low pre-flop raise percentage, and not very aggressive post-flop. They are usually the biggest donators at the table. When tab...

Re: tracker

What do you think of using table selection software? It certainly must be nice to log on and automatically be directed towards the most "profitable" tables with the weakest players, the biggest average pots, and the loosest VPIP etc. I know of Poker Usher, but I'm sure there are others. I...

Re: lets go over a few things

Bankroll Article: Your bankroll article recommends in the section written at the top you should have between 15 and 20 buys ins and if you were to play 25NL you should have a roll of at least $500 (which is understandable cause more is better). Then in the section written at the bottom you have lis...

Re: YOU GUYS ARE INCREDIBLE TEACHERS

Hi Mark, Awesome feedback. You're right in that the aggressive style we teach at OutstandingPoker.com requires some brains, as often times you can't just rely on your cards to carry you through. Re: tracker

I definitely recommend a tracker for a couple reasons: 1. To track your own play - keep track of each session, and review sessions afterward to evaluate your play. Once you get a large sample of hands, you can start looking at how you are doing with certain hands in certain spots (ie. 98-suited in t...
