Re: cant seem to get over 200 hump online what am i doing wrong

hard to say w/o more info

you might try posting some of the bad downswing hands for comment

you might be unlucky
might be making non optimum plays
might be getting cocky " winners tilt" and getting out of line- i think we all been there

but observer feedback might be helpful

Re: Calculating Equity

Jimmy is correct that it is much eaasier to calc equity HU than multiway This a bit away from the direct question you asked, But i think it is important to not get too focused just on your equity. So i try to look at the whole situation Am i behind, what hands am i behind? What is my equity vs that ...

Re: Practice with playmoney

mostly i think play money games are a waste of time once you know a straight beats a sset and a flush beats a straight etc. However, i think you found a possibly useful exception if games you were playing mimic the i dont care it isnt real money so i never fold/shove style in play money games. Then ...

Re: set/set/set

definite cooler, ouch as to the odds odds any 1 player w/ pp flops set 2 outs/47 unknown cards left (52-2 in player hand-3 flop cards) + 2/46(after first flop card misses) + 2/45=very close to 6/46=0.13 or 7.66/1 or 1/8.6 so for a second player to flop set they only get 2 flop cards since 1 of flop ...

Re: How to win online poker

great question you can absolutely start beating the games and winning $$$$ virtually immediately Poker savants tend to do so by innate intuition and feel and a basic understanding that aggression wins, most of the rest of us a more specific plan i had beem playing for several years online , mostly l...

Re: deep stacked sick spot with tptk

Tight players won't try to bluff you off an obvious Ace on that river so I would fold pretty quick. But keep in mind if you're going to be playing against this opponent with any regularity, checking back the flop is very unbalanced and makes you very easy to play against - since your flop cbetting ...

Re: Moves against regulars.

No I agree with your double barrel for that reason - you can still get a lot of value versus single card flush draws+pair. I don't play 50nl so my assumption was that most weak/tight regs will check/call with AK in that spot though, perhaps I'm wrong. in my experience Tim is dead on, most 50nl play...
