Betting flushdraws multiway

HAND 1

BTN: $19.23
SB: $52.00
Hero (BB): $57.25
UTG: $65.05
CO: $24.00

CO posts a big blind ($0.50)

Pre Flop: ($1.25) Hero is BB with TImage 5Image
1 fold, CO checks, BTN calls $0.50, 1 fold, Hero checks

Flop: ($1.75) 8Image 6Image 3Image (3 players)
Hero checks, CO checks, BTN bets $1.50, Hero calls $1.50, CO folds

Turn: ($4.75) 4Image (2 players)
Hero bets $3.56, BTN calls $3.56

River: ($11.87) AImage (2 players)
Hero checks, BTN checks

button = 100/30 player (21 hands)
cutoff = 54/0 (13 hands)

It seems I have two bad players here. If I bet flop I will easily get called with a lot of junk hands by any of the players. I would rather see a free card, but I dont know if button is an agressive post flop player. I ended up chasing the draw which is burning money. Should I always bet the flop in this spot?

HAND 2

SB: $50.00
BB: $53.86
UTG: $34.75
Hero (CO): $77.76
BTN: $50.00

Pre Flop: ($0.75) Hero is CO with AImage TImage
UTG calls $0.50, Hero raises to $2, BTN calls $2, SB calls $1.75, 1 fold, UTG calls $1.50

Flop: ($8.50) 8Image 5Image QImage (4 players)
SB checks, UTG checks, Hero bets $6.37, BTN folds, SB folds, UTG folds

Button and SB are TAG regulars, UTG is a 50-20 fish, loose aggro post flop.

Here I decided to bet the nut flush draw, as I was second last to act, figuring I had some fold equity. I want to know what to consider if a bet here is the right play, because if I play a hand 4way knowing that chances are Im gonna get called by a made hand like a Q, Im gonna have a hard time barrelling him of the hand.

Hey Erik!

Here is how I think.

I would have bet hand1 on the flop. Potted it. Build it up early if I hit my flush and some bad player chasing with tp, twopair och something.

Hand 2 I think I would have checked almost every time. Expecially if I knew that the UTG could try a move against me with his draw or something, maybe forcing me out of the hand. The board looks pretty drawy aswell. Im surprised none called! :D Yea, that second barrel could get hard.

hand 1

i think the first hand is fine, i dont like to lead 3 way most times w/ non made hand
although i typically check turn again if it gets checked around on flop

i might lead flop sometimes if it was sb me/bb and 1 other limper so i am in middle position
if sb checks the flop missed him most times and it will have missed most limped hands too so with the draw and overcard give you tons of equity if you take a stab (which will win at least 1/3 immediately in my experience) and get called. Also definenately fire again on a turn T

if I had a hand like 52 on a 348 flop so you have a double draw so i would lead vs bad players since the gutter will get paid off by Ax hands when an A hits and the flush will get paid off by AdX hands or over pairs etc. Since they are bad players you can check turn to not burn chips if you get called, but the combo of equity and winning pot with flop bet is profitable. I am frequently looking for disguished type hands that also improve bad opponents range to a second best that lets them pay you off on multistreets

hand 2
flop is pretty dry, although Q is a common card for calling hands
but since 2 players check and only 1 player behind you will win pot a fair amount of time w/ a c bet and you have about 50% equity vs most hands
betting also protects your hand from a free card helping yahoos w/ unpaired no draw hands like KJ A9 JT
it will charge hands like 67 or other flush draws
it will build pot vs worse draws that you are ahead of like 67 or flush draws
if button folds you have position on turn and river
the only hands that have you in bad shape are set or Aq since 2 pair or overpairs unlikely

bottom line is lots of good things can happen if you bet and few bad things
so i always C bet here

hope this helps
