Full ring live

Postby cliff48 » Fri Aug 13, 2010 5:12 pm

Hi everyone,

I am going to Reno in a couple of weeks and would like to try some $1.00/$2.00 NL. Fully expecting and not concerned too much about losing a couple of buyins. I have not played much (any) full ring, and would appreciate any advice.

Thanks,

Cliff

Cliff i go all the time. I play at Ballys There is also a nice tournament there at 11 am. I lso play at the Ventian. The rake is better there. also the dont rake for high hands or bads beats. It is a beautiful room. But Ballys is probalbly the softest game. Frank

Errol plays a lot of full ring live - he can probably shed some advice.

All I'll say is you really need to tighten up and bet for value when you have a strong hand, as people rarely like to fold. It's tough to isolate people heads up preflop because you get so many callers, so tightening up is required. But you can still read players and find out who the gamblers are and who the nits are and play them accordingly...
