Heroe's stats on HEM

Postby filobetto » Fri Jan 29, 2010 1:31 pm

I really am glad I have Holdem Manager. It certainly helps to make some good moves or decisions when looking at an opponents stats.

Is there a way that anyone knows of, that you can see your total stats on the hud? Every time I play a new session/ table it starts all the stats at zero. Also, wouldn't it be nice to see your exact stats that your opponent may be looking at of your own play if you have an extensive history together. What I mean is, assuming he may have HEM or tracker and you have 400 hands on him. You can certainly have an understanding of how he plays to some degree. It would be great to see the same stats he may be looking at when he is deciding how to play against you. But all you can really go by, is whatever hands you've played in the current session in regards to your stats.

Does anyone think this is an issue worthy of some thought?

I realize 400 hands isn't really an extensive history, but I do feel it is more than enough to form an impression of my opponents and them of me.

i am not an hm expert but i do know you can have hm display your stats for your totals of all hands played at that stake level(or all levels combined) or just for that session.

the latter more shows what your opponents "are seeing" from your play that session

the former shows more how you play on average over the long run

i dont think there is a way to filter only the hands you played when a certain opponent was at the table into the hud stats, notice this would some how have to update and rotate for each player at the table or else you would only have stats for 1 opponent.

I pretty much assume all the taggy regulars have stats programs, but i dont worry too much about them having stats on me, if i am playing tagish 23/20 overall . being a bit tighter in ep and looser in lp, i either have a stronger hand or position so i am comfortable that i can at least hold my own vs the regulars and beat the bad players. my basic style is no secret so it is really more in the execution and discipline, i do try to be a bit more selective vs the better regular tags since they have some understanding of how i play in basic common situations. i will try to vary my play a little(maybe a strange bet size or a checkraise, it doesnt take much to create a little doubt, no need to go "fancy play syndrome" )vs these players to keep them off balance which has 2 benefits. It keeps them off balance and any bad players watching tend to make wrong assumptions about my style because they dont realize/understand how to adjust to opponents style, so they assume that i will play the same vs them as i try to vs taggy players

my hm is set up to show my session stats so i see what they see for the session, if they have a few hundred or even a few thousand on hands on me then i have same on them, so back to execution

Yep , That all makes good sense. It really isn't the players I have some history with that I worry much about anyways. I can anticipate what they are doing by looking at there stats anyways. But, in a moment of thinking about it, I thought... wouldn't it be nice!

Thanks HG
