Nice statistics HG ;)

I could read your stats, np. And it just makes me more secure on how I think and play.
In other words I will only for example 5bet-shove against those maniacs u had in your stats or when Im really sure a player is tilted. I will try to look in my database (pokertracker software) and se if I can get some stat that are comparable to yours.

I had a fun session just before this post. A player got tilted on me. He started to raise like 50% of his hands and only about 3x BB and didnt let go of his hand if he had hitted some flop. I did call with like Q8s, J7s. Got nice flops and got his stack. Did end on a 5xbuyin stack on the table.

I will look into my database for 4bet hands and post them.

Happy Xmas!

Hi again, I have been looking on some statistics. Its the hands when I faced a 4bet preflop and the hand went to showdown.
103.414 hands, 30$NL & 20$NL, 100BB stack.
Situation happened 105 times. 0,1%.

This were the holecards (the most interesting ones) I had in those situations (91 of the 105 times).

AA 25 times
KK 16 times
AKo 15 times
QQ 10 times
JJ 10 times
AKs 7 times
AQo 4 times
AJo 4 times

The interesting is I only earned money from the Aces, and that with a big marinal. Look at this.

AA 25 times, BB/Hand = 22,78
KK 16 times, BB/Hand = -0,54
AKo 15 times, BB/Hand = -13,53
QQ 10 times, BB/Hand = -14,53
JJ 10 times, BB/Hand = -6,89
AKs 7 times, BB/Hand = -3,42
AQo 4 times, BB/Hand = -10,67
AJo 4 times, BB/Hand = -20,06

When I won with my KK (2 out of the 4 biggest pots) I did flop a King against my opponents AA.
The 4 biggest pots I lost (4 out of 4) I was up against AA with my KK.

So If I would lay down all the hands except AA when I faced a preflop 4bet I would have earned more.
Especially against the full stackers.

Another conclusion. Stay away from QQ when facing a 4bet pf. In the four biggest pots I lost them all against AKs, AKs, KK and AA.
Stay also away from AK when facing a 4bet pf.

I will have a look on when I have faced an all-in pf instead of a 4bet and see how that looks like. Ill post that statistics aswell.

Best wishes

nice post very helpful for others

did you tabulate opponents hands as well in 4 bet pots? As that is really what determines what range you can play?

hg

fyi
i think your AA is running quite cold as my AA when allin preflop vs opponent w/ any stack size is 1200+bb/100 hands. Notice AA allin pre w/ full stacks are a 4/1 fave so in theory would win 300bb/5hands or 6,000bb/100 hands win rate over the long run

Hi HG!

Your question, No I did just tabulate when I faced a 4bet and went to showdown. I will experiment with this abit and see if I can get other interesting results.

But, hmm, in the statistics I showed 22,78BB/Hand on AA. 2278BB/100hands? Am I totally confused or..? :D

At the new site im playing at (Boss Media), I have a 1981BB/100hands on my aces when I went All-in pf OR when my opponent went all in pf, and the hands went to showdown (no fold to all-in). Over 20k hands and this has happend 32 times.

I will experiment with this abit more. I have more to learn about how to get best information from my db.

Hi HG and Johan,

your post mathematically proves what I have been experiencing:

facing a 4bet with AK means trouble. Four a while I have been playing AK for stacks but at 25nl and 50 nl most people have such a narrow range that it might not be profitable. Right now im playing with imported hands so it gives me the opportunity to custimize my play. But I have to admit that I sometimes fold AK to a 4bet. When? When I have 1K+ hands on someone and they show a 4bet range of 2% or less I will strongly consider folding.

Thanks for the maths
