Kings are the Devil

Postby scott716 » Tue Dec 21, 2010 3:16 pm

I've come to the conclusion that I would lose less if I just fold KK pre-flop. I've never seen so many kings as I have in the last three days and can't recall winning a single hand where I saw the flop with KK in the last three days.

Heed my warning! Kings are the devil.

Sorry about the whining, had to let off some steam.

Hear! Hear! It is amazing how many flops appear to have an ace in them. I have finally learned to let them go on occasion!

fyi

if you go check your hm or pt you will find an Ace only flops 1/6 times over any decent size sample
you just remember the 1/6 because it is so painful

merry xmas

Believe it or not, it's not Aces that are beating me (except the one time that I had KK vs his AA). Most of the time I'm getting all-in pre-flop or on the flop vs VERY loose players and am getting sucked out with two pair on the river or they are hitting runner-runner to make their straight. I know it's varience, but it's still irritating.

I'm proud of myself for not tilting. That would be my MO in the past. That's something I'm still working on. Also I need to do like Tim says and DON'T BE RESULTS ORIENTED.

I know the feeling... but keep at it and you'll show a super profit with Kings in the long run :)

I used to feel the same way. I really thought I was losing money with KK and even AA. Seemed like no matter which I had the other guy would nail it on the flop.

Later to comfirm my belief that I was losing with these hands and very unlucky I went into holdem manager and did some minor hand filtering and found that the reality in the big picture is that I am way ahead with these hands. I guess we only really remember the ones that hurt most. :)
