Poker Software for Mac

Postby fishme751 » Fri Jan 07, 2011 9:53 pm

Hi Everyone,

I'm wondering if any of you guys are Mac users who are using any of the software out there. I know that Holdem Manager is the preferred choice, but I'm not sure if it works with a Mac. I downloaded the free version, and wasn't able to get it up and running...even with Windows Parallel.

I've done a little research online, and I think it looks like Poker Tracker is the preferred choice.

Anyone have any input or suggestions?

Thanks.

Hey fishme,

I've been pretty happy with Poker Copilot. It has most of the stats explained in the videos, with the exception of aggression factor by street and raise 1st percentages by position. They update frequently though, so I wouldn't be surprised if it catches up to PokerTracker in features pretty soon.

Thanks for the info. Looks like I'll buy that and see how it works.

I believe PokerTracker3 supports Macs now and has most of the same functionality as Holdem Manager. I'd imagine Poker Copilot probably has most of the same functionality too, so you probably can't go wrong with either. I would definitely recommend getting one though!

Yes Poker Tracker 3 supports mac (i'm a mac guy too) but i have a question (or 3) also-

Do I still need Poker Ace HUD with Poker Tracker 3 for displaying the stats on the site in real time? (Can I get it for mac if answer is yes?)

And does anyone know the difference between the beta version and the regular one?

Sorry if i answered the question with more questions :/

No you don't need PokerAce HUD - that was for the old Poker Tracker. PokerTracker3 includes the HUD.

And the beta version will just include very slight changes/bug fixes in the past few weeks. You're probably best to use the regular version unless you're experiencing a certain problem that the beta has fixed as it'll be most stable.
