I'm currently studying PLO and got a few books through the other day, one being "Secrets of shorthanded Pot Limit Omaha" by Rolf Slotboom and Rob Hollink and "Advanced Pot Limit Omaha Volume 1: Small ball and shorthanded play" by Jeff Hwang.

Both books seem to be very good, I've read 3/4 of the first and just started on the second, however it seems that they are not for the beginning player. Where as I have some experience in Omaha, yet want to take my game further, for a beginning player it seems people recommend the first books by the same authors.

Both books relate to full ring play, however, I hear there is some great stuff in them for people starting out in PLO.

As far as video's go, well, I don't feel anywhere near good enough to teach PLO yet, HOWEVER... SCOOP is fastly approaching and if I get lucky enough to get deep in a PLO event, I won't hesitate to make a video.

What first books are you talking about? also, do you suggest any NL hold em books that discuss shorthanded tourny strategy? or any NL hold em books in general that discuss the modern online form of poker?

With regards to the "First books", apologies, I meant the first books by each author(s) . I'm lead to believe they're both regarding full ring play, where as each I got are to do with advance short handed PLO.

The first by Jeff Hwang is "Pot Limit Omaha - The big play strategy" and the first by Rob Hollink and Rolf Slotbloom is titled "Secrets of Professional Pot Limit Omaha".

I'm not aware of any books that target specifically short-handed NLHE tourney strategy, because most NLHE tourneys are full ring, however, there is definitely one book I would recommend regarding modern online poker - specifically tournaments. And that is "Winning poker tournaments one hand at a time" by Rizen, Pearljammer and Apestyles (all muchly accomplished online and live MTT pro's).

Some of the stuff, and the way they go about getting it across in the book, is priceless.

You will also find some good modern stuff in both books by Lee Nelson (Kill Phil & Kill Everyone).

Funny I instantly understood what you meant by the modern online form of poker though. As if strategies from books like super system would work now??? Ye right...
