too weak?

wasn't sure how to proceed so felt folding was best.

Player 4 is a bit of a maniac, and I would have been glad to get it in with him. Player 6 has shown to be a solid thinking player, not prone to wild plays. I thought at first this may be a squeeze but then realized he 3 bet. Again, his stats tell me he is strong. Is it wise to fold and wait for a better spot, given the coin flip, or do I need to pull up my panties and grow some balls?

player 1 has 4bet here.
Do you have some 4bet percentage stats for player 1?

i dont mind a fold here for a couple reasons

you are pinched between a 3 bettor and a 4 bettor and you are minimally invested
if you call, it may not close the betting, you may have it raised behind you

with a 3 bettor and a 4 bettor it seems unlikely you have substantial fold equity
part of the value of AK is the ability to play aggressively preflop and force many hands
that have sufficient equity to play the hand if they knew you had AK to fold preflop
that doesnt seem likely to be the case here

if you are vs a pair QQ-, you wont likely get too much action(player dependent) if an A or K flop unless they flop a set, you are only 1/3 to hit the flop

if you are vs KK or AA you are in trouble and not getting odds to chase

if you miss the flop you likely have a difficult time getting the opponent to fold if you miss the flop given you will be vs a 4 bettor (or more) preflop

AK plays way better when you are the aggressor preflop, since it doesnt appear you can out aggress both opponents in this hand i am happy to fold and look for a better spot

Having only 142 hands against him, no, I don't have any 4bet %. It was the only time I had seen it done this session. It felt like a very strong move and I wasn't sure if I wanted to get into a coinflip. As well, player 4 could very well come along for the ride and then I'm not heads-up.
I would have to call $7 into a $12 dollar pot and may still be out of position as player 4 would now have almost 3-1 pot odds to make the call.

Thanks Hg,

I certainly couldn't have said it that well, but in my own way, that is how I felt. I had lost control of the hand was pretty sure that if i won, it would be for a small pot and if I lost, it would be my stack.

Still, it just felt like I was missing something in the hand. Maybe after a few weeks of study on this site, I'm learning plug some of my leaks? Wouldn't that be nice!

Keep up the great work guys. I haven't reloaded in over a month and the bankroll is slowly but surely growing! For me, that says something!
