Hi Tim my name is Tim also. i am finaly getting site navigation figured out. first i will say i think you are a very good teacher . in your latest vid you mentioned that you might be harping on about the same subject. you are not harping on , saying something over and over that is important is a good teaching method. it is what it takes to get people ( me) to remember. i am joined to other sites and i think you are the best teacher because you are always explaining your reads and moves in detail over and over. i bought a dvd about omaha hi lo it was cheap so i thought what the hell. the teachers were David Sklansky ,Brande Roderick, Todd Brunson, and Mike Matasow. the best teacher by far was Mike but he unfortunatly left after only just getting started and that made the dvd only worth what i paid for it .$3 lol. Even though the others are great writers , David and great poker players Todd ,Brande And David they are not the best teachers. anyway i can see that i will be able to learn alot from you. i am also hoping you will be doing 1 on 1 coaching as this could be interesting to me even though i think your videos are pretty close to what i think 1 on 1 would be because of your indepth and constant explanations.
i would like to know what you think of Poker Edge compared to others. i understand pokerstars doesnt want it used on thier site . do they ban all such syste
ms? what about other sites? which ones dont care ?
i guess thats it for now . Tim

Great feedback Tim - I know I constantly remind you guys how important things like positional awareness are and it's good to know that the constant reinforcement is worth it.

I've never used PokerEdge - in fact I'm not really familiar with it. I think it's some sort of network-based hand aggregator. Since most online sites don't allow it, I definitely would not recommend using it. You can get the same assistance by using Holdem Manager (http://www.holdemmanager.net) which will track all your hands locally on your hard drive, and build stats of the opponents you've played against that you can use to help build reads of your opponents at the table. Holdem Manager is totally legal and allowed by all poker sites.

Hi Tim thanks for the reply. you didnt say anything about 1 on 1 coaching though. is poker tracker legal on all sites? dont they track millions of players and give the same info as poker edge in the same way? doesnt pokertracker track players whenever someone with pokertracker is at the table and then if you have pt you get the use of this data. as far as i know this is how PE works. i think PT and PE both find tables for you also. I was just curious what you would consider a reasonable win rate at various levels of 6 man nl games. i used to play 6 man limit, but your videos got me hooked on 6 man nl games that i had only dabbled in previously. Any how, i am winning 26 big blinds/100 hands a 0.05/0.10 games over 16,000 hands. I feel like i have total control over these games every time i play.

Sadly, after good early success in 0.10/0.25 games, i have run bad and made too many mistakes and am basically even after 16,000 hands there. I am trying to get more discipline to lower my vpip and raise my pfr and 3 bet % which i think will help my results in the 0.10/0.25 games.

my current stats for both levels are virtually identical
vpip is 20.5%
pfr 12.5%
3 bet 4.4%

but mostly curious what win rate would indicate "mastery" (for lack of a better term) at levels moving up the ranks
i realize you are way higher, but any memory or estimate would be helpful

Hi atta22,

Just want to say I am enjoying your site. The videos are awesome and I really appreciate the explanations you give. I wouldn't mind seeing more videos on the micro stakes as I have been struggling for years trying to advance through them. I'm not saying that I haven't made mistakes along the way, but I don't think I've made so many that I should be down in the cellar.... still. But if there is a leak in my game, I want to find it ASAP.

I read another fella's post asking about 1 on 1 coaching. If you would provide me some info on that I would be grateful. In the meanwhile, I plan on continuing watching the training vids and participating in the forums. It's a great place to recharge after multiple back breaking bad beats :)
