If you dont have any stats on him I would assume he would push the river with:

pocket 7s, pocket 8s or the crazy pocket 10s --) you loose

with the J+ of diamonds --) you would win
Or there is always the possibility that he would bluff.

If you have a read that he is not about bluffing, then I think it's best to fold, although it feels horrible.

alot of players at this level dont have the recognition that paired board means a flush could be beat
so it is a bit player dependent, tighter players know the implication of paired brd so might make no bet or smaller bet w/ a lower flush ( but i would expect more action from them on flop or turn, they tend to sloplay sets more often), looser players might bet Qd Kd or worse thinking they got the nuts
