Future video requests

Postby atta22 » Thu Aug 28, 2008 2:45 pm

Hi folks,

I'm open to suggestions what kind of videos and/or topics you're interested in seeing covered in future videos.

Options includes stakes (micro or higher limits), game type (heads-up, 6max, full ring), and site (Party/Full Tilt/Stars)... and I can cover a wide range of topics if there's something you're interested in learning about.

Good luck at the tables.

Hi Tim,

Great work on the video's. I would love to see more cash game NL 6 max vids at the lower stakes. I have watched most of the 2/4 video's and the information in them alone has improved my cash game play. Keep them comming but I would love to see you cover a lot on 0.25/0.50 and 0.50/1 as these are the levels I (and probably most newer players) will play at until my bankroll grows so I can move up in stakes (positive thinking :-)). I really need to get the hang of adjusting how I play against weaker players post flop and grasping the thought process on what hands they have and how they are playing them. This will come into play a lot more when I might not be playing as strong a hand pre-flop when I have position. I have a good grasp of things on pre-flop play/hands but sometimes after the flop has come I'll sit there thinking now what do I do?? I think post-flop play is where most of my mistakes are made so any help on this area at lower levels would be greatly appreciated!

Anyway, keep up the good work!

Thanks and Regards,

Hi Tim,
I would like to see some more videos dealing with full ring games at a little higher stakes. Granted, I am now playing mostly 6max online, but in home games or at the casino, it's 10 per table. Also, perhaps going over the differences between online and live games where it relates to applying your strategies would be a practical addition as well.
One more thing.....will Errol be producing any more videos? I can see it has been many months now since he submitted any new ones.....
Thanks for your continued efforts!

Also, I think it would be cool if you made a few videos of yourself playing at your regular stakes, complete with commentaries, of course, especially post flop, as the pre-flop stuff is pretty clear by now. It's all about making decisions on the fly, and every situation is a little bit different. More videos like that would be instructive.
Thanks!

Ok Tim,

1. 3betting

2. Defending against being 3bet light.

3. In depth post flop play in 3-4 bet pots.

4. In depth post flop play ie floats, check raises, double triple barrelling.

Thanks

Hi Tim,

Great vids. I'd like to see some more examples of floating. Its something i've never really come across. I would usually fold if given incorrect odds to call.

Cheers

No problem - will emphasize floating in the next video.

Hey guys!

The videos kick ass! The improvements in my play have been way beyond what I anticipated when I joined the site and I owe you both a lot of thanks for that!

That being said, while I find the TAG style this site advocates/teaches is extremely effective in cash games, I recently started playing freeroll tournaments on PokerStars and am not quite sure how to adapt my game for success there.

In addition to not quite having a sense for how aggressive is too aggressive, I'm finding it more difficult to get a quick read on my opponents, with the sudden inability to use my Poker Co-Pilot HUD.

I would love to see a video where you show some tournament play and talk through the changes in the "Outstanding Poker" style, that we might need to make to achieve early round success. That and how to read players when you don't have the use of a Poker Tracker type software and maybe some thoughts on how to deal with the reckless all-ins that seem to make this level of play so treacherous.

Thanks again & keep up the good work!!

Hi Patrico!

Glad you are having success! To beat freerolls with wild players, I would suggest watching my SNG videos, or my recent 0.05/0.10 and 0.10/0.25 cash game videos, as similar concepts apply. You want to be playing in position (so folding most hands when you're out of position) with hands that make a lot of top pairs, so you can take all the calling stations to value-town when they chase their gutshot draws.

We are adding a new SNG coach very soon who will cover these concepts in more depth!

Cheers,
Tim

Hi Tim,

I enjoyed all the training videos I have viewed so far. I think the ones where you play the session then do the commentary are most beneficial. Also wouldn't mind some video tutorials on getting the most from poker tracker or other gadgets. I know tracker has their own forums but for me they make it seem harder than it really is.
