I totally agree! Great video. I almost fell of my chair laughing when Hockeyguy played his first hand on FTP with the pocket AA and he said: "Oh, life is good here". Hahahaha That was so funny :)

It's much easier to play when the table is not aggressive and the players are loose. Of course to get sucked out, can't be helped but the win rate is definitely better than when playing with sharks. Unfortunately I find myself playing with TAG's almost all the time. It's difficult to find tables that are fishy because most of the time there will be just one fish with a short stack and then we are 5 TAG's. It seams to me that the fish is getting less and less and the sharks are getting more and more. Thanks to OP and other schools I guess but new players are joining poker rooms everyday so I guess that it will never end.

The best would be to find a poker room where there are at least 50% fish but so far the poker rooms I've tried (about 7-9 of them) all have more sharks than fish :( Of course there are poker rooms like Party Poker and Pokerstars that are huge and probably have lots of fish, but probably lots of sharks also and they don't have any good rakeback deals.

I'm still watching had a couple questions?

You made a reference to 'Juicy the Pot'. What actually do you mean?
(I can make an educated guess, but want to make sure..)

You also mentioned after you watch Atta video's helped your game?
Which videos were these?

I'm playing $4 NL ($0.02/0.04) 6-max tables at the moment and its usually 2 nits, 2 tags, 1 lag/maniac and a fish at most of the tables. Occasionally I'll spot a good table but by the time the I get a seat the fish has been eaten and its their seat I've taken, or there's 3 or 4 people already waiting to get a seat.

my apologies Dragon
my guess is maybe i mumbled a bit and what i actually was tryin to say was "juicing the pot"
foe example- say 4 limpers are in already, many micro players like to make a min/small raise w/ small pocket pairs or sOOted connectors because they know every one will call and if they flop big they want the pot to be bigger. So their wussy raise "juices" the pot ie builds a bigger pot. You will also see this type of small check raise from many micro players w/ AA preflop or post flop(both are a horrible play) or w/ a set postflop(also a horrible play) or with a nut flush or straight etc

if this doesnt clafify let me know and i can go back and look at video

the videos that were labeled 11-20, the first ten videos were from errol which i believe have been removed, so i am not sure on the numbering, i assume they are still labeled 11-20.

at any rate Atta22 lays down and explains examples of all the concepts i had read about in books for several years, but had never been able to properly apply. Once i saw Tim's videos it was like a light came on. I was then able to be more aggressive and more effectively aggressively preflop and post flop, i was better able to use position, better able to read opponent hand RANGE ( the range concept was hugely important for me). Other concepts like pot control, thin value betting and inducing bluffs were greatly helpful as well.

The main thing was i was familiar with the concepts from my book studies, but had never seen them effectively applied like in Tim's videos. once i saw them used correctly it was game on( many top level pros have had similar revelations by watching other players ex. daniel negraneau watched jane harmon, paul darden watched someone etc etc). The other thing is that Tim is an excellent teacher. He explains concepts and how to use them, and when they dont apply or another concept is more important more clearly than any other place i have seen.

Everything i try to share is based on what i learned in his videos (i have watched each of the first 10 at least 3 times and all the others at least twice and taken notes every time i watched them). I offered to make some videos for micro stake games as i thought i could relate to their struggles since i had struggled at those games for so long until i joined OP and thought i could share what concepts really improved my game and allowed me to build my bankroll and move up several stake levels.

so i reccomend the first ten videos be watched several times as their is too much info in each to be fully grasped in one viewing. i also found notes greatly helpful to remember the concepts and quick review if i felt i was playing poorly. i still look at my notes when things start going less well than i want.

hope this helps HG
